Andre Onana celebrated in front of Lyon’s away fans after Man United opened the scoring in the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final clash.
Manuel Ugarte made it 1-0 within 10 minutes when he fired in from close range following Alejandro Garnacho’s driven pass across the box from the right flank.
Onana then walked towards his own corner flag in front of the south-east stand at Old Trafford where the away fans sit, and laughed in celebration.
This comes just a week after his double howler denied United victory in the first leg of the tie, as they were held to a 2-2 draw in France.
Amorim’s men performed admirably to recover from their early setback when Onana flapped at a cross and saw the softly hit delivery bounce over him and into the goal.
But all of their efforts were undone in the 95th minute when the keeper palmed a close range drive straight into the path of Rayan Cherki to draw Lyon level.

Onana’s antics also follow on from his feud with former United player Nemanja Matic going into the first leg fixture.
It began with Onana claiming that United are ‘better than’ their opponents, with Matic, who left Old Trafford in 2022, hitting back by branding the Cameroonian ‘one of the worst goalkeepers’ in the club’s history.
Onana then clarified his comments about Lyon but took a dig at Matic’s five trophyless years with United in a post on X.
He wrote: ‘I would never be disrespectful to another club. We know that tomorrow will be a difficult game against a strong opponent. We focus on preparing a performance to make our fans proud.
‘At least I’ve lifted trophies with the greatest club in the world. Some can’t say the same.’
