Chelsea loanee Joao Felix has been slammed by the Italian press following AC Milan’s latest defeat.
Milan suffered 2-1 loss at Bologna on Thursday as their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League next season suffered a setback.
Sergio Conceicao’s side initially took the lead before the break through Rafael Leao but the hosts mounted a second-half comeback with goals by Santiago Castro and Dan Ndoye.
It was Felix’s third consecutive Serie A start since his loan switch from Chelsea in January, and he failed to impress.
The Portuguese forward was eventually replaced by Christian Pulisic just after the hour mark and the Italian press didn’t hold back in their assessment of his ‘disaster’ display.
Newspaper Corriere della Sera gave Felix a 4.5 match rating and added: ‘The worst on the field. You can’t see him, you can’t hear him. Never a play, even his own players avoid him.’

Milan sit eighth in Serie A after Thursday’s defeat, eight points behind fourth-placed Juventus
Meanwhile italian journalist Fabio Ravezzani posted on X: ‘Everything is going wrong at Milan.
‘Joao Felix is as handsome as he is useless, Malick Thiaw is no better than and taking off Rafael Leao, unless he is injured, is foolish.’
The latest defeat has left Milan eighth in Serie A, eight points adrift of fourth-placed Juventus.
Felix rejoined Chelsea last summer from Atletico Madrid for £46million following a brief loan stint in 2023.
The Portugal international was mostly used in the Conference League and started just three Premier League matches, with seven goals in 20 appearances across all competitions.
He joined Milan on loan for the remainder of the season on deadline day of the January transfer window and scored on his debut.
Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca last month insisted they don’t miss Felix, saying: ‘I don’t think we miss Joao. Joao is happy there and we are happy Joao is happy there. We had two striker injuries on deadline day, it is something difficult to think. Nico [Jackson] can be back very soon.
‘Sometimes I think you need to play some games without players to realise how important they are. Off the ball, his [Jackson] pressing is always very good and on the ball he is a threat always.’
