Lewis Hamilton was pictured arriving on the red carpet ahead of a special event to celebrate Formula One’s 75th anniversary.

The F1 75 Live launch event is being hosted at the O2 Arena in London all 10 Formula One teams and all 20 drivers in attendance.

Red Bull chief Christian Horner has also been snapped on the red carpet with singer and wife Geri Halliwell.

Hamilton donned a white shirt, a red tie (perhaps in a nod to his new team Ferrari), and a long overcoat as he smiled for the cameras.

Horner was kitted out in a white shirt and black suit combo while Halliwell opted for a cream-coloured jumper and long coat.

Celebrities such as as Jack Whitehall and Take That are also at the arena to celebrate the thriving history of a competition which began in 1950 at England’s Silverstone Circuit.

Each team will unveil their livery for 2025 with a unique performance.

The teams will have around 10 minutes on stage to reveal their new colour schemes to 15,000 fans packed inside The O2. It is the first curtain-raiser of its kind.

‘Working closely with creative visionary Brian Burke of BrianBurkeCreative, and alongside Stufish Entertainment Architects, DX7 Design, and production company 1826, each team has been given creative licence to make their livery unveil unique,’ a statement read.

‘Throughout the evening, fans will be on the edge of their seats as they are taken on a journey that celebrates F1’s history and showcases each team’s identity.’

Going into the new season, Max Verstappen is looking to continue his streak of dominance and lift a fifth consecutive Drivers’ World Championship with Red Bull.

Verstappen took part in a media conference alongside new team-mate Liam Lawson as well as Horner earlier in the day.

The Dutchman then got changed out of his team gear and into a neck jumper and jacket for the evening event.

Other big-name stars including two-time champion and current Aston Martin star Fernando Alonso have also turned out, with the Spaniard opting for a grey suit.

Hamilton’s fellow Brits Lando Norris and George Russell have also been pictured arriving at the event, as well as newcomer Oliver Bearman, who turned up with Haas co-star Esteban Ocon.

Russell had driven his new teenage team-mate Kimi Antonelli to the event, with the Italian only recently having passed his driving test.

Thai-British driver Alex Albon is looking forward to another season with Williams and wore a broad smile as he accepted the acclaim of the red carpet cameras.

Fans of 90s pop music will be thrilled to hear that Take That will perform their catalogue of hits.

Machine Gun Kelly, country singer Kane Brown and composer Brian Tyler – whose F1 theme tune has been streamed over 75million times – are also set to flaunt their skills.

Also among the stars at the venue is former Eurovision star Sam Ryder, who came second in the 2022 contest with his song Space Man.

The show will be broadcast across F1’s social media channels on YouTube, X, TikTok and Facebook.

It will also be available to view for Sky subscribers.

F1 will stream the whole event on their YouTube channel, with coverage from 8pm on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports F1.
