A former Premier League forward scored a sensational volley for Inter Milan in their Coppa Italia victory over Lazio on Tuesday.
The Serie A side are enjoying a successful season on all fronts under Simone Inzaghi, who continues to impress as the leader of the team.
They are currently top of the league table, one point ahead of Antonio Conte’s Napoli after winning at the weekend and the former Chelsea and Tottenham coach’s side lost.
Now, they have booked their spots in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia with a comfortable 2-0 win over Lazio, with the ex-Prem star on the scoresheet with the opener.
Following that goal, Hakan Calhanoglu scored a penalty 13 minutes from time to secure the win, with Inter set to meet local rivals AC Milan in the semi-final of the competition.
But the win was largely in thanks to former Stoke and West Ham star Marko Arnautovic, who took matter into his own hands in the first half with a stunning volleyed goal.

Marko Arnautovic, who played for Stoke and West Ham, netted in Inter’s 2-0 win over Lazio

Arnautovic let fly from outside the area after a corner had been headed out in the first half

His team-mates, including Inter’s substitutes, ran on the pitch to mob their side’s goal scorer
It was the 39th minute of the game when Inter full back Federico Dimarco swung in a corner as his side hunted for an opener.
The cross was cleared, but only as far as the edge of the box, where Arnautovic, now 35, was waiting alone.
The veteran let fly with his left foot, from outside the box, and saw his effort fly into the right side of the goal, with goalkeeper Josep Martinez left unable to move.
Arnautovic celebrated by goading his own side’s substitutes as they chased him onto the field to celebrate, before mobbing him on the field of play.
The forward played 145 times for Stoke between 2013 and 2017, having joined them from Werder Bremen in Germany.
During his time with the Potters, he played under Mark Hughes, before submitting a transfer request and moving onto West Ham. There, he featured under the likes of David Moyes and Manuel Pellegrini, featuring 65 times in total.
After leaving West Ham, he went onto play for Shanghai SIPG, Bologna and then Inter Milan.
