Barcelona’s second attempt to register Dani Olmo for the second half of the season has been rejected.
As reported by Mundo Deportivo, after their initial attempt to register Olmo was knocked back, the Court of First Instance 47 of Barcelona has denied the club the precautionary measure for registering Olmo and Pau Victor in LaLiga.
Barcelona are now at risk of losing Olmo for free in the January transfer window, with Manchester United and Manchester City both interested in signing him.
Olmo joined Barcelona from RB Leipzig last summer for £50million and has made 15 appearances this season, while he has scored six goals.
However, given Barcelona’s financial difficulties, he was only permitted to be registered temporarily until the end of 2024.
Although that registration is now set to run out, Barcelona are still hopeful that they will be able to retain Olmo’s services

Victor, meanwhile, has scored twice in 17 games for Barcelona this season after arriving permanently from Girona.
Barcelona are waiting for LaLiga to validate the documentation for the sale of the VIP seats at the club’s renovated Camp Nou ground.
Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal are all interested in a move for Olmo
Arsenal are also monitoring Olmo’s situation, with the 26-year-old highly regarded by many clubs.
Olmo’s priority is to remain with Barcelona, who he previously represented as a youth player.
