AC Milan have abandoned their pursuit of Marcus Rashford to push ahead with signing Kyle Walker, according to reports.
Serie A rules dictate that top flight Italian clubs can only register one British player in their squad per year.
This means that Milan, who have been heavily linked with Rashford and Walker in recent days, need to make a decision on which English star they want to sign.
As reported by L’Equipe, the Serie A giants have chosen to try and get a deal for Walker over the line.
Pep Guardiola revealed last weekend that Walker had asked to end his seven-and-a-half year stay at the Etihad as he wants to move abroad.
Milan quickly emerged as the frontrunners for his signature, but still need to reach an agreement with City over a deal.

Walker’s City contract runs until June 2026, meaning that a free transfer is unlikely. According to L’Equipe, the idea of a loan move has also been raised.
Meanwhile, Rashford remains in limbo after revealing last month that he is ready for a new challenge away from United.
His shock revelation came just two days after he was axed from the matchday squad for the Manchester derby by Ruben Amorim.
Rashford has only made the squad once since, and has not played any minutes for his boyhood club in the past month.
He is now set to miss out on a move to Milan, but Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona have also been linked with trying to sign him.
Rashford’s brothers held talks with Dortmund on Thursday, with the Bundesliga outfit trying to convince the forward to join them on loan until the end of the season.
