Former Tottenham star Peter Crouch has slammed the team’s performance in their 1-1 draw against Rangers on Thursday night.
Ange Postecoglou’s side travelled to Glasgow for their sixth Europa League match, which saw Hamza Igamane open the scoring before Dejan Kulusevski equalised.
In the first-half, Spurs’ performance left a lot to be desired. They were second-best to everything and failed to create any real danger for Rangers keeper Jack Butland.
Postecoglou made a change at half-time but that wasn’t able to prevent Spurs from conceding just two minutes after the break.
Substitute Kulusevski later equalised to salvage a point for the north London side however his goal still wouldn’t pave over the cracks in their overall display.
Speaking on TNT Sports after the match, ex-Spurs star Crouch said: ‘I think they got away with one. Rangers were fantastic, and if they had gone and won it, it would have been a travesty.

‘First half it was all Rangers, I think the substitutions helped, the rested players, Solanke, Kulusevski, Sarr, Bergvall, they made the difference’.
‘I could hear them [the fans] at the end of the game, they didn’t sound too satisfied to me. It was disappointing. As well as Rangers did, I felt there was much more quality in Spurs’ side but they didn’t prove that.
‘Spurs were very sloppy, and I think that’s maybe a lack of confidence. The players who are confident showed that, Kulusevski, Maddison getting on the ball, Solanke when he came on.
‘The rest, I felt, I think with Archie Gray coming through that, he will benefit. Fraser Forster has done a wonderful job, there are plus points, but the negatives outweigh them’.
The result at Ibrox means that Postecoglou’s side have failed to win in their last five matches in all competitions.
Similarly to Crouch, Spurs star Kulusevski urged his Tottenham team-mates to do ‘a little bit more’ to help the club get back to winning ways.

‘I think Rangers played very well. We struggled a bit and in the end, 1-1, it is what it is. We didn’t play good enough to win the game,’ Kulusevski told TNT Sports.
‘Rangers did a perfect game, with the stadium, it is a beautiful stadium, fans helping them a lot and we missed a little bit in the first half. Second half was a little bit better, but we move on to Sunday.
Kulusevski was one of a number of changes made by Ange Postecoglou in the second-half, inspiring the necessary fightback after Rangers drew first blood shortly after the break.
Of his introduction to the game, Kulusevski said that his manager had urged him to ‘change something’.
