Norris tipped for 2025 title
Lando said it, that ‘next year is my year’.
Anything else but the world title next year… second is not acceptable next year.
He’s on it and will take the fight to Max Verstappen. He wants to carry that team to the drivers’ title.
Best of the rest
Podium time!
Norris: ‘This is a historic moment’
It feels incredible. Not for myself but for the whole team. They have done an amazing job from where we were at the beginning. I’m so proud of everyone.
It’s been a lovely journey. To end the season like this is perfect.
For us to win the constructors’ championship after 26 years is pretty special. We are going to celebrate.
This is a historic moment for the team. It’s going to be a good night!
Sainz: ‘I gave it everything’
I gave it everything, especially the first stint.
It looked like we could hang onto them, then as soon as we put the hard tyres, they just seemed to be that one or two tenths quicker per lap, like we’ve seen all weekend.
And they just got a bit out of reach.
Congratulations, first of all, to McLaren. They deserve this championship. They’ve been rock solid in the last two-thirds of the championship and they’ve been incredible.
From our side, I think we can proud of the effort and the championship that we put together.
It’s been a tough year but definitely a year that we need to be proud of, and hopefully be back here soon.

Leclerc: ‘It’s a shame’
I knew I had to be very aggressive, so on Lap One I took all the risks possible to gain as many places as possible to be in a good position for the rest of the race.
Unfortunately, we were starting too far back to do anything better than what we did. I think we did the maximum. It hurts when a season is so close until the end.
It was a hard hit on Friday and we gave it our all and we just come short of our goal. It’s a shame but we gave it everything.

Brown: ‘That was stressful!’
I love everyone in Woking! What an awesome team effort. All the men and women at McLaren.
Amazing! That was stressful.

Wooo! Papaya on top. Congrats to everyone, incredible. Well done everyone, so proud of you all.
You all deserve this. Thank you so much. It’s been a special year. Next year is going to be my year too.

What’s next?
Leclerc hoping for ‘miracle’
Fun – I don’t know if it is the word. It would have been more fun in front.
It’s a very difficult task today, but I’ll do everything to try to make the miracle happen.
That’s we need to have today, a miracle.

Rosberg: Hamilton ‘the greatest’
He’s a genius. He’s the greatest of all-time. A natural talent like there’s never been before in F1.
It was amazing to be a rival there for some years and share together the success of the Mercedes team, and to watch them go on and continue that success.
A very emotional day for everyone. An amazing story.
He was the ultimate benchmark, incredibly difficult to beat and I knew that since I was 13 years old.
All the better for me that I managed to beat him as my rival. But it’s lovely to see how emotional he is.

Hamilton: It’s a strange feeling
It’s a beautiful day. It’s a very strange feeling. I can’t really put in words what I’m feeling at the moment.
But I think ultimately just a lot of gratitude, and hoping that today I can do something from all the way back where I am.
I look at it as a positive that I qualified 18th but I’m actually starting 16th, so there’s one positive.
I’m ultimately trying to just be really present, looking around just trying to remember it and take it all in.
