Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi has revealed that he has turned down offers to manage in the Premier League ahead of his side’s Champions League clash against Arsenal.
The Serie A champions welcome the Gunners to the San Siro on Wednesday night, looking to extend Mikel Arteta’s side’s winless run in all competitions.
Inzaghi has gained plaudits for his work with the three-time European Cup champions, which followed a hugely impressive five-year spell in the Italian capital with Lazio. His work has impressed those in the Premier League and he has been linked with roles at Chelsea and Manchester United in recent years.
The Italian revealed that he has rejected offers from the English top-flight but he insisted he is still open to working in the division.
‘It’s very interesting football, all coaches like it. I don’t deny that there have been possibilities over the last few years, even when I was at Lazio, but I was happy at Lazio and I’m happy at Inter.

Inzaghi has been linked with managerial vacancies at Manchester United and Chelsea earlier this year
‘I like it (English football), it intrigues me, but I’m at one of the best teams in Europe and I’m happy here. Nobody can be certain about the future, though.’
Inzaghi’s most recent link to the Premier League came in recent weeks as Man United considered whether to sack Erik ten hag following a dismal start to the season.
The Old Trafford club finally pulled the plug and quickly installed Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim as their next boss.
During his time in Milan, Inzaghi has guided Inter to the Serie A title and two Coppa Italias, as well as the Champions League final in 2023, where they lost to Manchester City.
His side face a tough test in the competition on Wednesday, as Arsenal look to record their first win in four matches. Inter and the Gunners currently sit locked on seven points from their first three games and Inzaghi expects the contest to be a tough one.

He added: ‘We will have to try and keep the ball as much as possible. We know that we are facing a team that will put us under a lot of offensive pressure. We know that it will be a problem for us when they have the ball, but the opposite is also true.’
Arsenal will be without Declan Rice, who has not travelled with the squad to Milan. The England midfielder is said to have been left out of the Champions League clash as a ‘precaution’.
