Paul Pogba is reportedly in advanced talks with Marseille over a potential move during the January transfer window, according to reports.
The midfielder, 31, has been in talks with the Ligue 1 club for several weeks, with a deal potentially on the horizon when Pogba is cleared to resume training early next year after his four-year doping ban was reduced to 18 months on appeal.
This would mark a return to French football for Pogba, who is set to become a free agent after reaching an agreement to terminate his contract with Juventus.
The move would also see Pogba link-up with former Manchester United team-mate Mason Greenwood, who signed for Marseille on a five-year deal from the Red Devils in July.
Pogba’s career has been in limbo following the doping scandal which saw him handed a four-year ban in February.

Mail Sport recently revealed that ban had been reduced to 18 months after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ruled that the Frenchman had not intentionally ingested the banned substance DHEA.
Although Pogba will not be eligible to play until March 2025, he is expected to depart Juventus shortly and could finalise his move to Marseille in January.
Rumours had previously linked Pogba with a switch to Major League Soccer, but it appears his next destination may be back in France, according Malick Traore.
Pogba is set to return before that in an exhibition contest in Dubai where he will compete in the Kings Cup before any such deal is made.
The legends football match, scheduled for November 30 at Al Maktoum Stadium, is returning for its third edition and will see former World Cup and Champions League winners take to the stage.
Pogba is amongst the most high-profile currently playing superstars to be named in the line-up and will be joined by a host of other world-class stars.
John Terry, Roberto Carlos, Michael Owen, Paul Scholes and David Silva are also amongst those that will take to the turf in the one-of-a-kind exhibition contest.
The match will be played with Pogba given a special shirt that will see him subjected to other rules that means he can only play 30 minutes of the friendly clash.
Pogba and Brazil icon Carlos will only play 15 minutes of each half and will be exempt from yellow cards, red cards and can’t be flagged offside.
The former Manchester United midfielder is eager to get back to playing after last taking to the pitch in September last year prior to being banned.
