After a long season with Real Madrid where he won the Champions League, the Spanish Supercup, and La Liga, manager Carlo Ancelotti decided to take a trip to Big Sky Country.

Ancelotti has posted images of himself out in the American state of Montana – enjoying some time off only four weeks after hoisting the Champions League trophy.

The Italian manager posted a pic of himself on his Instagram story at the Sawmill Saloon in the Montana town of Darby.

Darby is located near the Montana-Idaho border – over an hour drive from the college town of Missoula – with a population of less than 1,000 people.

Incidentally, it’s located near a lake called ‘Lake Como’ – but this one is much more remote and less crowded and glamorous than its Italian cousin.

Ancelotti also posted a picture of himself on Instagram on horseback – truly embracing the backcountry lifestyle – with the caption ‘When in Montana’.

It was just weeks ago that Ancelotti was leading his Real Madrid side to a victory at Wembley over Borussia Dortmund.

But next season is already shaping up to be one of change within a club that just had its first campaign in 15 years without Karim Benzema.

Now there will be a hole in midfield next year where Toni Kroos used to be, with the German set to retire at the end of the Euros.

However, there will be new firepower at his disposal in the form of Kylian Mbappe as well as another Brazilian wonderkid in the form of Endrick.

Currently, Real Madrid are second-favorites to repeat their Champions League glory – with oddsmakers favoring Manchester City to make a run at the trophy.
