Mason Greenwood has been named Getafe’s Player of the Season, with the Manchester United forward’s loan spell at the Spanish outfit now set to come to an end.
The 22-year-old arrived at the LaLiga club last September following a deadline day move. Since then, he has featured in 36 matches across all competitions, returning 10 goals and six assists.
Eight of those strikes came in LaLiga, with Getafe having been keen to extend his current loan deal for an additional season.
It comes as Mail Sport reported earlier on Tuesday that Borussia Dortmund were interested in signing Greenwood.
This paper understands that the Bundesliga side will make a decision on whether to sign the 22-year-old after the Champions League final on Saturday.

The news comes after the Man United academy graduate gave a 52-word update on his future, where he seemingly appeared to bid farewell to the Spanish club while thanking their fans.
‘Incredibly grateful to the Getafe family and fans for an amazing season,’ Greenwood wrote on Instagram.
‘Thank you for making me feel welcomed and one of your own. I enjoyed every second, alongside my team-mates and club.
‘A bittersweet ending, but it was a pleasure to play for you. I wish you all the best.’
It comes as uncertainty mounts over his future, with Greenwood’s loan deal at the Spanish club now coming to an end. His contract at the Red Devils is also due to expire in 2025.
The forward was charged with attempted rape, assault and coercive behaviour in October 2022.
In 2023, the case against him was dropped after key witnesses had withdrawn. The Man United forward had denied the allegations that had been made against him.
United had also conducted an internal investigation into the matter and chose not to release the £75,000-a-week forward. They instead sought a future for him away from Old Trafford.
It comes amid uncertainty over his future at Man United, with Mail Sport having previously reported that the club were working to secure a permanent deal for the forward
