Former Arsenal defender Cedric Soares is attracting interest from a number of European sides including Ajax.

The Portuguese full back left the Emirates Stadium at the end of last season after his contract expired and is monitoring his options before deciding on his next club.

Ajax are among the clubs keen on the 32-year-old, while Ligue 1 sides Nice and Stade Rennes are contemplating offering Soares a contract.

Teams in Saudi Arabia have been alerted to the former Southampton defender’s availability, a potential move that would interest Soares.

Two clubs in Turkey have also registered an interest.

Soares joined Arsenal from Southampton in the summer of 2020 and went on to make 64 appearances for the club.

He was restricted to just five outings across all competitions last term, with Mikel Arteta preferring Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu ahead of him.

Cedric also spent the second half of the 2022-23 season on loan at fellow Premier League club Fulham.
