Harry Kane is suffering from back problems as Euro 2024 approaches, Thomas Tuchel has confirmed.
The Englishman was taken off late on in Bayern’s 2-1 midweek defeat by Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals.
Fans were puzzled by the decision to withdraw Kane, with Bayern up 1-0 at the time before Joselu grabbed two late goals to knock them out.
Tuchel insisted that Kane couldn’t have played on and has now revealed that his back issue is ongoing.
‘Harry Kane has back problems,’ he said ahead of Bayern’s Bundesliga assignment against Wolfsburg on Sunday.

Their first warm-up friendly is against Bosnia and Herzegovina on June 3, which is just over three weeks away.
Kane reported for England duty during the last international break but missed the games against Brazil and Belgium due to an ankle injury.
The 30-year-old had suffered the blow after colliding with the post during a 5-2 win over Darmstadt and had to have scans.
Kane is England’s leading all-time goalscorer with 62 goals and has endured a bittersweet debut season in Munich.
He has had his best personal season with 44 goals in 45 games but somehow times his £100m arrival with Bayern’s first trophyless season since 2011-12.
They sit third in the Bundesliga – having previously won it 11 times in a row – and were knocked out of the DFB-Pokal in ignominious fashion by third-tier Saarbrucken.
England’s first Euros warm-up game is on June 3 and they start their campaign on June 16
