The son of a former Liverpool star has signed a scholarship deal with the club Prospect has stepped up to Liverpool’s Under-18 squad ahead of the new season 

The son of a member of Liverpool’s 2005 Champions League-winning squad has signed a scholarship contract with the club.

The talented youngster will now be looking to follow in his father’s footsteps by becoming a first-team player at Anfield.

After impressing as a schoolboy, the prospect will now be part of Liverpool’s Under-18 squad ahead of the new campaign.

The player penned his new contract after turning 16 recently.

It will be intriguing to see how much progress he can make during the upcoming season.

As reported by Lewis Bower, Prince Cisse will be a first-year scholar for Liverpool this season.

Prince is the son of former Liverpool star Djibril Cisse, who scored 24 goals in 79 games for the club between 2004 and 2007.

Prince is the son of ex-Liverpool star Djibril Cisse, who as at the club between 2004 and 2007

Cisse won the Champions League and the FA Cup with Liverpool and later had further spells in English football with Sunderland and QPR. He is currently a forwards coach at another of his former clubs, Auxerre. 

In the 2005 Champions League final against AC Milan, Cisse scored in the penalty shootout after coming on as a substitute. Liverpool had remarkably come back from trailing 3-0 at half time to pull level at 3-3 prior to winning on penalties in one of the most dramatic finals ever.

Cisse played 41 times for France between 2002 and 2011.

Prince, an attacker, has been capped by Wales at Under-16 level.
