Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee will wear the number 11 jersey during his debut campaign at Old Trafford.
The 23-year-old signed from Bologna for £36.5million on a five-year deal until June 2029 with the option to extend.
He is yet to feature for his new side during pre-season but Red Devils supporters could get their first glimpse of their new man when the United take on rivals Manchester City in the Community Shield on Saturday.
Zirkzee has inherited the squad number vacated by Rasmus Hojlund, who took the number nine shirt after Anthony Martial left the club at the end of last season.
Notable wearers of the No 11 in United history include the legendary figures of Ryan Giggs and Sir Bobby Charlton. The former still holds the record for the most appearances for the club with 963. The vast majority came wearing that squad number.

The forward penned a five-year deal with the option for a further 12 months at the Old Trafford club
Last season he scored 12 goals as Bologna finished fifth and qualified for the Champions League, making a return to Europe’s top table for the first time since 1965.
Zirkzee became United’s first signing of the transfer window with Lille defender Leny Yoro swiftly following as the second on Friday in a £52m deal.
Upon signing, Zirkzee said: ‘Having had discussions with the manager and the leaders of the club I know how exciting the future is going to be here and I cannot wait to play my part in achieving success for Manchester United.
‘I am a player who has always dedicated everything to winning; I’m ready for this next challenge, to go to another level in my career and win more trophies. It is a privilege to join such an iconic club. I have to take a short break now after being with the national team, but I’ll be coming back ready to make an impact straight away.’
United’s new sporting director Dan Ashworth welcomed his first signing since arriving at Old Trafford, with United still in the market for two centre-backs and a defensive midfielder.
Ashworth said: ‘Securing a forward to enhance our already strong group of attacking players was a key aim for this summer.

‘Joshua is an outstanding talent who is ready to make an impact for Manchester United. His ability and desire to grow into a world-class player means that he will be a great addition to the squad that we are building for the exciting season ahead and beyond.’
