Former Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen could leave Barcelona before the summer transfer window ends, according to reports.
The Catalan giants are already on the verge of losing Ilkay Gundogan, with the midfielder set for a sensational return to Manchester City.
He landed in Manchester on Wednesday night and met Pep Guardiola for dinner ahead of his proposed free transfer back to the club he left last summer.
Now, Christensen could follow him out the exit door as the centre back is open to leaving Barcelona this month, as reported by Mundo Deportivo.
Christensen was only on the bench for Barcelona’s opening LaLiga match at Valencia last weekend, and is unlikely to have a prominent role under Hansi Flick if he stays at the club.

Eddie Howe’s Newcastle are reportedly showing interest in signing Christensen
With this in mind, he could be tempted by a move away, and Newcastle are understood to be showing interest in signing the Danish defender.
The Magpies are keen to bring in a centre back before the transfer window closes next week, and have had four bids rejected for Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi.
They are also monitoring Joe Gomez’s situation at Liverpool after he was left out of Arne Slot’s squad for the Reds’ 2-0 victory at Ipswich on Saturday.
Christensen joined Barcelona on a free transfer from Chelsea in 2022, just one year after winning the Champions League with the Blues.
He has made 75 appearances in his two seasons at Barcelona, and has won LaLiga and the Spanish Super Cup during this period.
The 28-year-old still has two years remaining on his contract, but could seek a transfer due to no longer being guaranteed regular playing time with Flick at the helm.
The transfer window closes on August 30 in England and Spain, giving Christensen just over a week to make a final decision on his future.
