David Schumacher, the son of Ralf Schumacher, has commented for the first time on the bitter row between his parents.
Former F1 driver Ralf and ex-wife Cora divorced in 2015 after almost 14 years of marriage.
Ralf came out as gay last month when he revealed that he was in a relationship with his French business manager Etienne.
Cora then said in an interview with Der Spiegel that her former husband’s announcement ‘was like a stab in the heart’. She added: ‘Today I feel used during the marriage. I feel like I’ve wasted my best years. I ask myself many questions. Was he honest with me?’
But Ralf later accused Cora of lying and published screenshots of an alleged WhatsApp exchange from last year in which Cora appeared to congratulate Etienne on their union, indicating that Cora knew all along – a move she has since decried as ‘pathetic’ and ‘illegal’.

Ralf, 49, and son David, 22, teamed up to take part in the Prototype Cup Germany at the weekend and they won both of their races at Nurburgring.
As well as being asked about their victories, David was encouraged by reporters to comment on the ongoing dispute between his mother and father.
He replied: ‘It’s the same for me. I feel the same way anyway…’ After pausing to think, he continued: ‘I have nothing to do with it, it doesn’t stick in my head. And as soon as the visor is closed or the door is shut, it’s just about driving and nothing else.’
On his impressive double victory alongside his dad, David added: ‘It was such an emotional and successful weekend.
‘A dream come true to be driving with my dad and hats off to him. Thank you dad that this became real. One weekend never to forget!’
Ralf added: ‘An unforgettable day. Both of us on the podium together, what an incredible day.’
