Premier League clubs’ pre-season fixtures: Dates and kick-off times as the 2024-25 season is fast-approaching


The 2024-25 Premier League season is fast approaching and each and every one of the 20 teams have upped their preparations ahead of the new season.

Four-in-a-row champions Manchester City will be aiming to win their fifth consecutive league title this season, after finishing two points above Arsenal last season.

Runners-up Arsenal alongside Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea will be hoping they can close the gap on the League’s benchmarkers, with the latter three teams bringing in new management to boost their chances of rivalling Pep Guardiola’s men.

Seven of the League’s heavyweight’s will complete their final pre-season training stateside in the US.

Mikel Areta’s men will face Liverpool and Manchester United in Los Angeles and Philadelphia, whilst Enzo Maresca’s recently acquired Chelsea will play Manchester City in Columbus.

While Tottenham face Bayern Munich twice, once in South Korea at the Seoul World Cup Stadium and for a second time at home at the Tottenham stadium within the space of a week.

Pre-season is the perfect opportunity for players to get back to match fitness and get crucial minutes under their belts ahead of the new season and is also important for new coaches coming into the League to get to know their players better.

Here is every Premier League clubs’ pre-season fixture list including date and kick-off time.

Premier League pre-season friendlies

AFC Bournemouth 

Bournemouth will play two games in California in the space of a week against Hollywood A-Lister Ryan Reynolds’ owned Wrexham side before meeting Premier League runners-up Arsenal four days later before flying back to England.

Where they will host Spanish side Rayo Vallecano at the Vitality stadium on August 4 for their final game before the new season starts on August 17 

Arsenal 

Mikel Arteta’s men are not taking their pre-season lightly, with mega clashes against Manchester United, Liverpool and Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen on the cards.

The Gunners will open their pre-season run with a game against fellow Premier League occupants Bournemouth in Los Angeles, followed by a meeting with the Red Devils in one of the World’s most impressive stadiums, the SoFi stadium.

They will finish their tour of the US against well-known rivals Liverpool in Philadelphia before travelling back to London to host two games at the Emirates against Xabi Alonso’s German outfit and French side Lyon. 

Aston Villa 

Unai Emery’s men will be playing Champions League football next season after an impressive fourth place finish last season.

To help them prepare for the tough competition, the Lions will play seven games in the lead up to their opening league game against West Ham on August 17.

It is not just on pitch where the Villa players will clock up a series of miles as they begin their pre-season with a clash against Walsall at the Bescot Stadium before jetting off to Slovakia to face Spartak Trnava.

They will then make their way over to the US to play three games against Columbus Crew, RB Leipzig and Club America ahead of returning back to England to host Spanish side Athletic Bilbao at Bescot Stadium.

Their seventh and final game will see them travel to Germany to take on Borussia Dortmund and the infamous yellow wall at Signal Iduna Park.  

Brentford

Brentford narrowly avoided relegation to the Championship last season with Thomas Frank’s men finishing the season in 16th place.

They will hope to better their record from last season and return to top half of the table and preparation for that begins on July 20 when their pre-season campaign gets underway against AGC Wimbledon.

Brighton

The Seagulls new season gets underway on July 24 where Fabian Hurzeler will take charge of Brighton for the first time.

Following the departure of Roberto De Zerbi. The Texas-born German born coach will become the youngest permanent manager in Premier League history.

But before that he will lead his team out against Kashima Antlers and Tokyo Verdy in Tokyo before returning to England to play one last pre-season game against QPR before the Premier League starts.

Chelsea 

Another team which saw a change in management during the summer, Chelsea have swapped out Mauricio Pochettino for Enzo Maresca in the hopes he can take them back to their glory days.

Chelsea and Maresca will get their pre-season up and running with five games staged across five city’s in the US.

The will first play Wrexham in Santa Clara before travelling to Indiana to play Celtic, followed by Club America in Atlanta, Manchester City in Columbus, Real Madrid in Charlotte.

Once they have wrapped up their five games in America they will return to Stamford Bridge for one finally pre-season game against Inter Milan before the season starts. 

Crystal Palace 

Crystal Palace will be hoping they can build on their 10th place finish last year and it all starts with their pre-season friendlies.

Unlike the  majority of other Premier League teams, the majority of the Eagles games are staged here in England.

Their opening clash sees them travel to Broadfield Stadium to face Crawley before they host French side FC Nantes at Selhurst Park. 

They will then follow the trend of heading over to America, where they will play out two games against Wolves and West Ham.

Everton 

Everton are keeping it local for their pre-season games, staying in England for three out of their four fixtures.

Where they will come up against Salford City, Coventry and Preston. 

Their only game abroad takes them just across the pond to Ireland where they will face Sligo Rovers at The Showgrounds. 

Fulham

Fulham enjoyed another successful season in England’s top flight, just two years after securing promotion.

They will be hoping for a third consecutive impressive season, which all starts with their pre-season clash against Benfica in Portugal.

Their game against the Primeira runners-up will be the first of only two games they have arranged ahead of the 2024-25 season. 

Their other game will see them take on Hoffenheim in Germany.  

Ipswich Town

Ipswich Town enjoyed a remarkable season last year, finishing second in the Championship, securing promotion back to the Premier League for the first time since 2002.

The Tractor Boys will begin their season in Austria against Shakhtar Donetsk before hosting German side Fortuna Dusseldorf. 

Leicester City

After getting relegated last season, just seven years after lifting the Premier League title, the Foxes made sure their stint in England’s second-tier was short lived.

And that they did, winning the League and ensuring promotion back to the Premier League at the same time.

Leicester’s pre-season will begin with a clash against League One outfit Shrewsbury Town before they travel to France to face Lens.

Liverpool 

This season marks a new chapter for the red of Merseyside as Dutch manager Arne Slot comes into the setup after Jurgen Klopp departure from the club.

The Slot era will get underway on July 26 when Liverpool are set to play their first pre-season friendly against Spanish side Real Betis in Pittsburg, America.

The will continue their pre-season preparation with two more games in the US against Arsenal and Manchester United.

After there time in America, they return to Anfield for one final game against Sevilla before the 2024-25 Premier League season begins. 

Manchester City 

Reigning champions Manchester City will be aiming to reach heights never reached before this season.

As Pep Guardiola’s look to lift a record fifth Premier League title in a row.

A pre-season for Champions, their fixture list is stacked with worthy opponents who will challenge them ahead of the 2024-25 season.

The will start their pre-season with a clash against Scottish Champions Celtic in North Carolina, they will then go on to play AC Milan, Barcelona and Chelsea in New York, Orlando and Columbus respectively.

Their final game before the start of this season’s Premier League will be against Manchester United in the Community Shield on August 10.  

Manchester United 

Manchester United’s showing in the Premier League last season will be one most Red Devils will be wanting to quickly forget.

The Red Devils finished eight in the league last season, their lowest finish in the club’s history.

They managed to turn their fortune around however by winning the FA Cup against rivals Manchester City to save their spot in European football.

Their final game before the start of this season’s Premier League will be against Manchester United in the Community Shield on August 10. Before that they will be America to face Arsenal, Real Betis and Liverpool.

Newcastle 

Eddie Howe’s men narrowly missed out on European football this season, finishing 7th in the League.

They will begin their 2024-25 season prep with two games in Japan against Urawa Red Diamonds and Yokohama F. Marinos.

The Magpies will then return to St James Park to host Girona and Stade Brestois before their season officially begins.

Nottingham Forest 

Nottingham Forest just escaped relegation to the Championship last season, finishing 17th just six points above the drop zone.

They will be hoping they can produce a better display this season as they look to stay in England’s top flight.

 All their remaining pre-season games are being held at the Pinatar Arena in Spain where they will come up against Sunderland, Millwall and Elche.

Southampton

The third and final team to secure promotion to the Premier League at the end of last season is the Saints, who beat Leeds in the Championship play-off final to advance.

The Saints get their pre-season campaign started against Eastleigh at Silverlake Stadium on July 19 before the host French side’s Bordeaux and Montpellier in two closed door matches.

Tottenham 

Ange Postecoglou’s men enjoyed a decent season in 2024 and will be hoping for more of the same this season, as they will aim to match or even do better than their fifth place finish.

Unlike the rest of the so called big six who have taken their pre-season campaigns to America, Spurs have gone in the other direction to Asia, South Korea to be exact.

They will play Hearts first and foremost in Tynecastle before flying to Seoul to play three games against Vissel Kobe, Team K League and Bayern Munich.

West Ham 

West Ham got their pre-season up and running against Hungarian side Ferencvaros.

Their next game is scheduled for July 15 where they will play London team Dagenham & Redbridge.

They will then take their pre-season tour to Florida where they are set to play Wolves and Crystal Palace a week apart from each other.

Their final game before the start of the new Premier League season will be against Spanish outfit Celta Vigo. 

Wolves 

Gary O’Neil’s side will be hoping to better their 14th place finish last season.

They begin their preparations for the upcoming season against West Ham in Florida, followed by a meeting with Crystal Palace in Maryland.

They will finish their American tour in Miami where they will face RB Leipzig.

Their final friendly before the beginning of the 2024-25 season will be against Rayo Vallecano at Molineux.
