Marseille are close to securing a deal for Tottenham’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg The French club have made an offer of £13.5million for the Danish international 

Marseille are closing in on a deal for Tottenham midfielder Pierre Emile Hojbjerg.

The French club have made an offer of £13.5million for Hojbjerg.

Marseille, fresh from signing Mason Greenwood from Manchester United, are also working on a deal for Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah, but are hoping to spring another coup as talks advance for Denmark international Hojbjerg.

The 28-year old has also had interest from Atletico Madrid and Fulham but is keen to link up with Roberto de Zerbi.

Former Brighton boss De Zerbi was appointed as Marseille manager last month.

Hojbjerg has made 184 appearances for Tottenham and scored ten goals since joining the club in 2020.

He previously played for Bayern Munich and Southampton.

Part of the Denmark side that was knocked out by Germany in the round of 16 at Euro 2024, Hojbjerg has been capped by his country on 81 occasions.
