Marcus Thuram trolled AC Milan, by draping his Inter Milan shirt over their rival’s corner flag, after he scored to help Simone Inzaghi’s side seal a 2-1 victory at the San Siro, a win which saw them be crowned Serie A champions.

Joyous scenes erupted at full-time after Inter secured their 27th victory of the season in the Derby della Madonnina, with Inzaghi’s side having stormed to the league title – losing just once in Serie A this season.

The victory means they are now uncatchable at the top of the table, having gone 17 points clear of Milan, who are second, with five games left to play.

Francesco Acerbi opened the scoring heading in after 18 minutes, before Thuram would find the back of the net in the second half.

It was a superbly taken goal, too, with the Frenchman holding off one defender to collect a long pass, before cutting inside and thumping his strike into the bottom-left corner.

He bolted away celebrating wildly as he ran down the touchline, before his team-mates proceeded to jump on him.

Fikayo Tomori would head in from close-range to pull a goal back for Milan. But the game had a dramatic end, with Theo Hernandez, Denzel Dumfries and Davide Calabria all being sent off for an on-field scuffle in injury time.

That didn’t stop Inter’s players from celebrating, though, with Thuram being seen in a video, jumping up and down after having draped his Inter shirt over the Milan corner flag.

He subsequently appeared in an interview with CBS Sports, where he thanked the broadcaster’s pundit Thierry Henry while calling him his ‘best uncle’.

‘Today I’d like to thank my parents. I’d like to thank Thierry Henry, for all the advice he gave me and I hope this is only the start,’ Thuram said.

The CBS reporter asked Thuram, ‘I hear that you sometimes speak to Henry more than you do to your father sometimes?’

Thuram replied: ‘Yeah he’s like my best uncle. He’s the uncle that is here for me to help me in good moments and bad moments. He always tells me the truth. And today I’d like to take the time to thank him because if I’m here it’s because of him too.’
