Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka, Jordan Henderson and Cole Palmer all missed out on England training on Wednesday afternoon.

The Three Lions foursome all undertook personal programmes, according to Sky Sports, ahead of England’s clashes with Brazil and Belgium in the next seven days.

England captain Kane has been struggling with an ankle injury sustained during Bayern Munich’s 5-2 win at Darmstadt on Saturday.

The Three Lions skipper suffered the injury after colliding with the goal-post during the match but still reported for international duty at St George’s Park on Tuesday.

Sky Sports claim that the four players are ‘training indoors’ and are ‘having some physio work’ prior to their upcoming clash with Dorival Junior’s side.

Henderson, meanwhile, played just 65 minutes of Ajax’s draw with Sparta Rotterdam on Sunday afternoon – where he picked up one assist on the day.

Palmer was also in action on Sunday as he took part in Chelsea’s FA Cup victory over Leicester – where he chipped in with one assist and a goal during the match.

Arsenal star Saka hasn’t stepped foot onto the pitch since his side’s dramatic penalty shootout victory over Porto last Tuesday, where he played the full 120 minutes of the match.

England take on Brazil on Saturday evening before facing Belgium next Tuesday, prior to warm-up games against Bosnia and Herzegovina and Iceland in June.

They will then begin their next UEFA Nations League campaign with matches against Republic of Ireland and Finland in September.

England manager Southgate has seen his squad depleted by injuries and will be crossing his fingers that he can at least call upon his captain for the fixtures.

The games against Brazil and Belgium are Southgate’s final opportunities to assess his players before naming his squad for this summer’s European Championship in Germany.

On Tuesday, Manchester United star Kobbie Mainoo was handed his first ever senior England call-up ahead of their upcoming friendlies.

The 18 year old was initially part of the Under-21 squad but has been drafted into Gareth Southgate’s group for their matches later this month.

All other 25 players reported to St. George’s Park on Tuesday ahead of the forthcoming internationals against Brazil and Belgium.

United midfielder Mainoo has previously represented England at U17 through to U19 level – but is yet to be capped at U20 or U21 level.
