Former West Ham midfielder Said Benrahma has been tackled by a fan of his new club while celebrating European qualification.
Lyon finished sixth in Ligue 1 after a 2-1 win over Strasbourg on the final day of the season, with former Arsenal man Alexandre Lacazette securing the victory with a penalty six minutes into stoppage time.
After a tough start to the season, the side jumped 12 league places in 20 games to ensure they will be in Europe’s secondary competition next season.
The win triggered chaotic scenes at the Groupama Stadium, with fans invading the pitch to celebrate with the players, though one supporter took things a little too far when they collided with an ex-Hammer.
Benrahma was celebrating in front of a camera after the full time whistle, only to hit the deck when a fan went running towards him.

It is unclear if the fan, who was wearing a bucket hat and red coat, slipped or deliberately tackled Benrahma to the ground.
The 28-year-old could be seen looking shocked as he sat looking at the fan, who appeared to try and help the midfielder up from the ground.
Security, however, took Benrahma away, who was not confrontational to the fan.
Lyon won their last four games of the season, last losing against PSG on April 21.
After Laurent Blanc left as manager at the start of September, Fabio Grosso took over, but the club’s fortunes didn’t improve and he stepped aside at the end of November.
Pierre Sage then took over, and has led the club to European qualification for the first time since the 2020-21 season, when they finished fourth.
Benrahma, meanwhile, joined the club the day after deadline day in February from West Ham in a deal that was supposed to be worth £17million and was one of seven players to join the club in the winter window.
It was thought his move had collapsed, with Lyon left furious with West Ham and accusing them of a ‘deep lack of respect’ in a club statement, but he eventually joined on loan.

His part time stay arrived with £15m option to buy at the end of this season, with West Ham disappointed with Lyon’s response to the collapsed move.
He has scored three goals in 12 appearances since, helping the club climb the table following his move from the Premier League.
