ITV have gained again the legal rights to display the England men’s team’s matches, Mail Sport can reveal.
The broadcaster has secured a 4-yr deal to acquire more than from Channel 4 when their arrangement ends in 2024.
It will see the ITV show all men’s matches outside key tournaments.
The channel has a extended association with the England side. It had shared coverage with Sky Sports activities till Channel 4 stepped in previous year to choose the legal rights for Nations League and European Qualifiers up to up coming year’s European Championship. ITV will then share the rights for the match with the BBC prior to their offer kicks in.
The transfer has been hailed by ITV bosses and will come at a time when the broadcaster is on the entrance foot, with the rights for the ongoing Rugby Globe Cup in France.
