Alain Prost has criticised Renault-owned group Alpine, stating that the previous CEO Laurent Rossi was incompetent and lacked humanity.

The 4-time champion was aspect of the Alpine F1 workforce as a director right until 2021, right before his departure was introduced.

Talking to French newspaper L’Equipe, as transcribed by BBC Sport, Prost criticised Rossi.

‘Laurent Rossi is the greatest example of the Dunning-Kruger Outcome, that of an incapable chief who thinks he can defeat his incompetence by his arrogance and his absence of humanity to his troops,’ he said.

 ‘He thought that he experienced recognized every thing from the start off, when he was fully mistaken.’

Prost, who had a falling out with Rossi in 2021, major to his departure from Alpine, continued to go over his time with the Renault-owned staff.

He continued: ‘During my many years at Renault, how numerous periods have I heard in the corridors of the headquarters in Boulogne-Billancourt, that F1 was a very simple sport that could be run from house by males in spot.

Now utilized by Red Bull, Prost has proven his worth immediately after an unsuccessful spell with Alpine less than Rossi’s stewardship. 

The job interview was finalised with Prost remaining asked why Alpine are not ready to make the exact same progress as their opponents.

The 68-yr-old refused to remark, indicating: ‘I you should not have nearly anything at all about that. I can not comment on that.’
